Jesse and Naomi

The ceremony was nice and short but look at the preparation everyone put in to make it perfect? So beautiful. I can't express...

The bridal party... Matt, Lindsey, Naomi and Jesse.

I love my man. He's everything I ever prayed for.

Lindsey did an amazing job on my dress... it suited me perfectly and it was so comfortable.

Sarina and Hannah, getting ready for the wedding. Hannah was kept really busy doing lots of hair... let alone her own! Her skills never cease to amaze me. :-)

The flowers... aren't they beautiful? They were perfect. Garden and formal put together.

Jesse and Matt being themselves. :-) :-)

Our wonderful musicians! What a treat to have them at our wedding.

Sara has gotten so big! She's still really cute, however. ;-)

Lindsey and myself. It was a dream come true to have her as my bridesmaid. :-)

Another one of my favorite pictures of the two of us. Life is so happy with my best friend.

Jesse finally has some brothers. Hehe. Jesse T. Jesse H., Uriah H., Ezekiel H.

Lindsey made place cards for the immediate family. They were all unique and suited the person they were for.

Our candy table. It looked so pretty and people hung out at it forever  all evening. :-) We had a lot of candy leftover though. I had to send most of it up North so Jesse and I wouldn't eat it. Lol.

People are so funny. :-)

The cheesecakes were so beautiful... and soooo good! :-)

Three Grandmas! Grandma Pat, Grandma Irene and Grandma Caroline. It was so special to have the grandparents there. Grandma Irene is 96 and spent so much time at the wedding. We were so blessed!

My new family. :-) Samantha, Jesse, me, Dianne and Paul.

Jesse's Aunt Kate from Australia came for the wedding and some weeks before. We got to know each other quite well. She's an awesome lady and I am quite fond of her. :-)

On January 31st, 2011, Jesse Twietmeyer hid a ring in a glove and asked his very surprised and delighted girlfriend to marry him. Of course she said yes. (There is a lot of back story to that, some of which his very surprised and delighted girlfriend has written down for the curious and patient readers of her blog. You can find them herehere and here.) After they finished excitedly dancing around the kitchen, they went to his family's house and decided to not mention the ring but wait until someone noticed. That was fun. :-)

But you are here for details... These are they and I promise to update as more are decided upon. :-) Enjoy.
Save the Date: September 10th, 2011.
Place: Memorial Hall & Theatre; Main Street; Carlyle, SK.
Wedding:
Will take place in the Theatre.
Guest List is being worked on but not completed.
Reception:
Open invitation -- everyone is invited!
Potluck supper; please bring your favorite dish.
Dessert is cheesecake (we provide) but we don't discourage inclinations for bringing something sweet. :-) (One of our friends offered to bring pie, which I am thrilled about because she makes the best pies I've ever tasted in my entire life...)
Live music. Open mic. If you play an instrument, bring it along.
Bar (both sides of that crowd will be attending).
Gifts: We bought a house that was furnished with many things we need to start a new life together but there are still a few essentials that would make life a lot easier: washer and dryer, stove, a bed for the master bedroom, etc. And, of course, there is always renovations! Since these things are difficult to give as gifts, we have decided that we will have a Wishing Well (card & cash gifts) at our wedding. Thus, if you feel led to give anything, the funds will go towards our essentials. :-)

"Open bar (though both sides of that crowd will be attending)."

I wish I could come, I wish I could come!! :) But I'll be there in spirit and thinking of you on the big day; celebrating in my heart.

I suppose I should have made it more clear. :) Jesse's family and many of our friends drink but my family does not. Therefore, there will be a bar. :) Jesse and I don't drink but we don't mind if others do so.

Make things clearer? My purpose in mentioning it was so people would not be shocked when they arrived at the reception. :)

Yes, that makes sense Naomi :) Thanks for the clarification. I don't either, unless you count the random serving of champagne at a wedding or a small amount of dessert wine :) but don't mind if others do so responsibly.
